Concrete Floor Repair

Applying a decorative finish to a concrete floor will give you a beautiful, resilient floor that will likely last for many years, but as is the case with any coatings application, proper preparation is paramount. Whether the finished floor you're looking for is an epoxy, urethane or any other type of coating, paying careful attention to what goes underneath it should be just as important as what you see from the top. Cracks, chips, spalls and joints can all transfer through a coating and be visible in the final finish if they are not properly addressed. Remediation of these surface imperfections has another benefit outside of making your floor look its very best. From a functionality standpoint, the floor will no longer have any areas for dirt or debris to collect, thus making it significantly easier to keep clean.

So how do we go about making these repairs? To begin with, we clean out any contaminates within the problem area. This may include shot blasting, diamond grinding with a specially designed V-groove wheel, chemically degreasing, or in some cases where deeply saturated oil stains are present, flame burning. From this point, we use our scientifically designed rapid curing epoxy repair compound to fill in the trouble spots. Once the filler has catalyzed, (generally in about one hour) we are able to grind the area to blend it with the surrounding slab. The result is a seamless, professionally prepared surface that is ready for any coating application.
